About KFX

We are busting with pride, ready to make the most FANtastic year yet! KFX (Kelowna Fan Experience) experience is an annual event that will transport the interior of BC to a world of superheroes, film, comics, manga/anime, Sci-Fi, fantasy, horror, gaming, performance, and more. Once again The Rotary Centre For The Arts, Kelowna Community Theatre, Black Box Theatre and Okanagan Regional Library Downtown will be playing host to this unique show. The KCT lobby will feature Empire Movie Props amazing collection of rare film collectibles and arts groups/organizations from across The Okanagan. The stage will host celebrity guests, panels, Q/A’s, live performances like One Man Avengers, Geekenders, Live Podcast of Drunk In A Graveyard and Live D & D. A huge highlight every year is our KFX Cosplay Contest which will be our showcase event on Sat. March 21 evening, hosted by Mark Meer. The Black Box Theatre will be a retro gaming room where Magic the Gathering and D & D sessions will be held for beginners. It is also the location for our signature Opening night and Monster’s Ball parties which are open to VIPs and celebrity guests/sponsors. At the RCA (Rotary Centre For The Arts) attendees will also be able to peruse the exciting Artist Alley, Gaming Zones, Anime Screening Rooms, KFX Themed Vendor booths presented by established and emerging talent from the world of fan-culture and be able to taste Kelowna’s finest treats at our Food Truck Rally outside the building, this year on Saturday and Sunday. The theatre will feature Retro Games Competitions and performances, panels and KFX Has Talent and more.

New Vintage Theatre is a proud member of The Professional Association of Canadian Theatres and a member of The National Regional Theatre Caucus.   We are a group of professional artists who bring new, innovative contemporary theatre to Kelowna. We believe theatre should be accessible, engaging and exciting for all. Our team brings a wealth of experience in theatre and film; our plays have been performed at Kelowna Community Theatre, The Black Box Theatre, Rotary Centre For The Arts, Creekside Theatre, The Vibrant Vine Winery and Delta Grand Okanagan.
